Used Range Rover Sport 2013 Review

Used Range Rover Sport 2013 Review

First up to prove it can accelerate and stop like something half its size. We’ve grabbed the 503 horsepower supercharged version, and we’re gonna see how quickly it can go from north to a hundred miles an hour and back to the north again.

Okay. 17. Now that’s it. Gonna go into 18. You’re gonna break 90 now. And breaks. That’s,

that’s it.  1681. Woo. I can confirm that the brakes work very well in the heat. Absolutely. We’ve proved the car’s pace, but what about when you wanna slow things down and test its off-road ability? I think we have just, the thing, I can’t quite believe I’m saying this, but Lamb rover has turned a decommissioned jumbo jet into a four-by-four playground and we’re about to give it a go setting off into the unknown.

Just so you know, I’ve got the gearbox in low ratio, and we’ve got the terrain response set to rock crew. And we got the ride height raised right up, but I’ve been told to expect the unexpected. Here comes the first ramp. All I can see is the sky following his directions right a bit.

I’m now, I’m now inside the jumbo jet. Oh, quite an angle. Quite an angle. If I didn’t have my seatbelt on, I think I’d be falling out the window right now.

Sideways. Ah, past a defender. This is absolutely extraordinary. Stop. Just followed his hand signals the whole time here. I’m completely blind most of the time. Oh, It’s a bit of an impact there. Okay. Apparently we’re going up the ramp into first class. Now. This is a first for me into the top floor of a jumbo jet in the new Range Rover Sport. Didn’t think I’d be saying that today. Okay. Straight John. I think this could be quite steep, so prepare yourselves. Yep. Oh my God.

This is where I take my feet off. Both pedals. The car is doing all of this itself. It’s called Hilde sink control, breaking each wheel.

Hello? We go. I think there’s another section to come. A car still in one piece. That’s the good news. Extraordinary. When you think of that, this is a. It’s an 80 or 90,000 pound car. They’re actually letting us do that.

It’s extraordinary. You’re completely blind. All you’ve got is this one guy’s hand signals in front of your finger in the air means carry straight on. And with the brake, it’s a 45 degrees downhill. Okay? Just give you the break. Yeah. A little bit more. Yeah, more. A bit more? Yeah, a bit more. Okay. Stop here. Yeah. And now you can break. Just release the break. Okay.

Oh, God. I’m absolutely forwarding my chair, leaning on my seatbelt. That’s extraordinary. I don’t suspect many people are gonna be using their Range Rover Sport for extreme off-roading, nor are they gonna have a jumbo jet to drive food. But I have to say that’s an extraordinary experience and definitely one to tick off the bucket list.

Okay, so I’ve driven the Range Rover Sport flat out. We’ve shown you just how spectacular it can be off-road, but now I’m tired, I’m grumpy, and I want to go home and to be. In terms of comfort and refinement, I can’t think of another car I’d rather have. Take me if that’s not an all-rounder.
